INTRODUCTION

Shri Shivaji Maratha Society is established in June 1921 under the able guidance of His Highness Chhatrapati Shrimant Late Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur Sansthan.


Shri Shivaji Maratha Society’s Law College, Pune is established in the year 2003 with the LL.B. Three Year Law Course and in the year 2004 B.A.LL.B Five Year Law Course with the aim of imparting Quality Legal Professional Education to students coming from all strata of the society, upbringing the masses. The College also runs two Diploma Courses namely Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare as well as Diploma in Taxation Laws. “Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay” being is the mission statement of the Society and the same is followed by our Law College.

The vision of shri shivaji maratha society's law college is to impart quality legal education through modern knowledge and to democratize quality higher education in the field of law and justice. law being a professional course, it is required that students should be manifested to practical utility and application of law with well education, training and technology by which they can sustain themselves in their noble profession of law. the college is endeavoring and striving towards providing a training ground and platform in our college for future judges, legislators, public servants, and most importantly a responsible human being who will be a part of the governing class and representative of a democratic nation.

Bahujan hitay, Bahujan sukhay being the mission statement of shri shivaji maratha society, the same is followed by the law college. shri shivaji maratha society's law college is established in the year of 2003 with the main objective of imparting quality professional education to the students coming from all strata of the society and bringing the masses and aiming at the following goals: to impart value education, ethics and to set new standards of excellence; to create quality advocates and responsible human beings rather than only degree holders; to inculcate a positive attitude in each student through disciplined and dedicated efforts which is inclusive of values, skills, morality and ethics.
