Rules for 2nd and 3rd year admission LLB and 2nd to 5th year BSL
The admission to the college course will be subject to the following:
Foreign Students
There are three categories of International Students seeking admission to the various courses in the faculties other than medicine, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals Sciences and Management and for which No Objection letter from the Government of India is not required. The following are the three categories.
- Category A
- International students who have passed the qualifying examination from the board of Higher Education in India and do not require fresh students visa from Indian Missions of their country.
- Category B
- Foreign Students who have passed the qualifying examinations from outside India and faculties of Ayurvedic Medicine, Law and Education (i.e. faculties other than Medicine, Engineering, Management and Pharmaceutical Sciences.)
- Category C
- Foreign students migrating from other Indian Universities after successfully completing their First Year degree course in art, science and commerce or degree courses of post graduate in the college affiliated to the university or to the post graduate or research degree courses of the university. In respect of the students in category above, international students shall be treated at par with Indian students. That is like Indian students, international students shall apply to the college in which they wish to seek admission and the principals of the colleges can grant them admissions as per the procedure laid down in this regard only, if they have valid long term student’s visa for joining the particular course in the University of Pune.In other words, the same rules which are applicable to international students in this category. However, within a month from the commencement of the session the college must send the eligibly forms of such international students. The international students belonging to this category must pay the following fees.
ELIGIBILITY FEES
- Rs. 1000/-
- Entrance Fee:150 (US dollars) and
- Medical Test Fee: 50 (US dollar)
(Fee charged is as per existing rules and subject to change.)
As regards the admission of students falling in categories B and C above, the admissions have been centralized and it is office of Assistant Registrar, International Students Cell which will issue the letters of admissions provisional as well as final as per as the procedure and rules laid down in this regard.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- Every applicant for admission (Local or Otherwise) will be interviewed before admission is finally granted to him/her.
- At the time of admission the student will have to pay all the college Fees and hostel dues.
- All students must take admission personally.
- All admissions will be provisional and subject to confirmation by Principal and approval by the University.
- All students who have taken admissions provisionally because of non-availability of documents, etc. their admissions shall be cancelled for non-submission of document within the stipulated time.
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
Admission form must be completed by the student in his/her own and in clear handwriting. It may be given by hand pr posted. Admission procedure must be completed by student in person. Admission form must be complete in all respects including certificates and documents as indicated below. Incomplete forms will not be considered for admission.Studenst may appraise themselves for all the rules of admission and the procedure of admission as stated in the prospectus, and any changes made thereafter, which will be on the notice-board of the college. The time-table and procedure for admission can also be seen on the board and on the college.
Documents required with admission form are
A) Three photographs (front view-passport size) with name behind the photograph.
B) Attested true copies of the following documents, and must procedure the original at the time of interview for verification.
- Statement of marks of the qualifying exam (XIIth for five year B.Law course)
Where grade system is followed in assessment, student shall also give along with the grade certificate .The transcripts of marks or any other documents indicating marks in the qualifying examination.
- Passing certificate.
- For date of birth purpose-Certified copy of entry in birth-register, or school leaving certificate or certificate of SSC or equivalent examination.
- a) Statement of marks of SSC (Xth) or equivalent examination.
b) Statement of marks of HSC (XIIth)or equivalent examination.
c) A student who has completed neither SSC nor HSC (or equivalent exams) from a recognized institution in Maharashtra but who himself/herself or whose father or mother is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra must procedure a domicile certificate of a Competent Authority the he/she/father/mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra; else such student will be treated as a ‘Candidate from Outside Maharashtra’ for the purpose od admission and fees.
- A student coming from a college affiliated to the Pune University or Maharashtra Higher Secondary Board must produce a Transfer Certificate and School Leaving Certificate from that College/Board and School. A student coming from any other University or Board must produce a Migration Certificate, a Transfer Certificate and school leaving certificate from the University/College/Board/School. Else the student must undertake to produce and must produce the same within fifteen days from the date of admission.
- If a student seeks admission in categories reserved for backward classes and other backward classes:
a) Caste certificate issued by appropriate authority
b) In the case of such-categories among NT, VJNT, OBC, to whom the creamy-layer criteria is applicable , a valid and subsisting certificate from the appropriate authority that the student does not belong to the Creamy Layer.
IF SUCH CERTIFICATES ARE NOT SUBMITTED WITH THE ADMISSION FORM, THE STUDENT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION IN THE OPEN CATEGORY FOR ALL PURPOSES.INCLUDING ADMISSION, MERITLIST AND FEES.
- If the student seeks admission and benefits in categories reserved other than for backward classes, a certificate from the appropriate authority indicating that the student belongs to such category.
- If the student is employed, employer’s permission to pursue the course and attend all the classes of the course.
